I was just prescribed betamethasone (for Diprolene) for my hair loss.?

Has anyone else been prescribed this and how long does it take to show results? I am a 24 y/o female with thick, long hair. The dermatologist said it is temporary hair thinning in the crown of my head due to low iron and mainly stress. (I'm a senior in college, finals coming up, worrying about grad school, etc ...) The hair thinning is stressfull as well. Any info on this medicine would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have not used betamethasone before, but doing a quick search yielded this information:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/drugi...

"To use the lotion on your scalp, part your hair, apply a small amount of the medicine on the affected area, and rub it in gently. Protect the area from washing and rubbing until the lotion dries. You may wash your hair as usual but not right after applying the medicine."

It doesn't mention anything about hair loss, so it's probably just due to the stress from school.

I also did some further research on female hair loss and this came up:

But I don't think you will necessarily need that. At least I hope not :)

Hope I could help.
