Hair dye question!?

ok so yesterday my cousin was trying to dye the top of my hair dark blue, and i had dyed it black 2 days ago, i didnt wanna bleach it because i didnt want it to stand out that much, i just wanted a hint of color, but it didnt show at all, i decided that today i was gonna bleach it first and then dye it, but my friend said that your hair falls out when you bleach dark colors! is this true?? im using SPLAT blue hair dye and the blach comes in it.... it says that im supposed to leave it from 50 to 60 minutes

No, I had to bleach my hair before I could dye it purple. I dyed my hair years ago and my hair hasn't fallen out yet. Plus eventually if the color washes out it will look like blond highlights. If the color doesn't wash out you will have awesome hair.

You do have to bleach it. Bleaching your hair can cause a lot of damage, but it really depends on the health of your hair. healthier hair won't fall out or break as much as weak hair. Coarse hair will stand up to bleach better than fine hair too.

anyhow, you can't dye over black hair with out bleaching. it probably wasn't a great idea to use a permanent black color, because now your only options when you dont like it is to A. let it grow out, or B. cut it all off, or C. bleach it.

it would be better next time to use a SEMI-permanent black color.

Okay that isn't true. If dying a dark color would make your hair fall out then it would be the same with light hair. Color has nothing to do with it.

you arent pose to dye your hair that much your hair will get damaged. if you are thinking about bleaching give it some time and talk to a hair dresser even if you do it yourself they might be able to give you some tips.
