umm I used to have long, shiny and perfectly straight hair when i was younger. now that i'm older, my hair turned damaged, almost dead-looking, and it has a wavy characteristic to it now. I don't want the tedious process of straightening it over and over again but i also don't want to have it chemically straightened. can you please show me products that will help? Please how can i make my old hair return? oh and shaving is not an option.
note: i have waist length hair...don't ask me how i mange it
Frizzy, damaged, kind of dead and wavy hair? Well...I am sorry but you are going to at least straighten it every three days. I have hair down to the small of my back...and I use a real iron cause it only takes about 5 minutes.
(Straighteners usually take me an hour or so). If I don't straighten it I have the same problem...but deep conditioners help too..also therma silk is heat activated so that helps out alot as long as you straighten it. I know it is a hassle to straighten but at least try the iron cause it is fast and works great, and no it doesn't burn your hair.
Frizzy, damaged, kind of dead and wavy hair? I do not have the best hair in the world, but i have found a product that really helps. Its made by Sunsilk and its called Straighten Up. It's their new line of "hairapy" products. This one is in the purple bottle. They also have all different various hair products for all different types of hair!

You may need several washings. Wash it once regular, then put a light coat on and rinse. The water quality makes a big difference. I'm a guy and use a shower filter because it feels good and your not washing your body in chlorine . Chlorine is in all tap water and destroys the cells over time. Get a Vita Shower, put in those key words for a search. Another shampoo to switch off with is natural pepermint , it will revive and stimulate the scalp with nice results. Remember , buy this stuff in a health food store . Peace.

Frizzy, damaged, kind of dead and wavy hair? I would trim as much of the dead ends as necessary. Just the mere fact that your hair is waist lengh is reason enough for it to look kind of dead, damaged and frizzy. Think of how old your hair is. You can help it out by using some moisturizing hair care products. They make all kinds of products for dry damaged hair in need of sleek shiny locks. The top layer of your hair gets the most damage from the sun, environment and hairbrush damage. Unfortunately that is the layer everyone sees. So a gloss would help out a lot. .Use it when your hair is almost soaking wet. Comb your hair gently from ends to scalp to get the tangles out and then from scalp to ends and let it dry naturally. If you want to make it look even more smooth, blowdry with a round brush when your hair is almost dry, so you won't have to damage your hair with excessive heat. A balanced diet and plenty of water are also a plus, since hair is fed by the bodies blood.
