Does anyone know what show this is??

* It was on about 5-7 years ago.

* It was about two teenagers one had dark curly hair and the other one had blonde hair.

* The blonde headed girl lived with her mom who was like a socialite.

* The show took place in the 60's.

* The dark haired curly girl lived with her family and her old grandmother who bought briskets all of the time.

* Her parents sold couches.

* They wore uniforms to school.

* The opening credits had the dark curly haired girl drowning in the swimming pool.

* I think it was shown on ABC Family.

I really loved this show and I have no idea what it is called please help me out!

The show you describe sounds like, "State of Grace"

it starred Mae Whitman as the wealthy young blonde Emma Grace and her friend with the dark curly hair was played by Alia Shawkat. Although, I do not remember the drowning in the swimming pool, everything else seems to fit.

I watched the show as well. Perhaps you can find it on DVD somewhere, good luck!
