Dirtyblonde straight hair-how to make it lighter and dif ways to wear it?

i have two questions- see my hair is a dirty blonde but i have some natural highlights that really show well just in the summer. is there some way to make my hair lighter in color or at least the highlights w/o dying it or using the salon? like any kind of products in stores? and i also wanted to know how i should wear my hair. its straight and angled and layered and goes a little past my shoulders. i wear it in ponytails a lot but i also like it down-the problem is is that it looks a little blah. how can i fix that and what are other ways to wear my hair

First, try the "Pantene" hair care line. They have some shampoos for blonde colors also. If you don't like the Pantene line, there are other companys too. Second, try wearing your hair lightly curled or spiraled. When your done "curling", used your fingers the separate the curls to give that "natural" look.

home highlighting does entail bleaching, but it can be pretty easy to do if you are patient.

There are products like fresh raw lemon juice and sunlight, or products like "sun-in" type lighteners, but they are very very harsh on the hair.

The actual bleach and highlighting with products from from the beauty supply store is the best way to go. Just remember that you must condition your hair regularly after this sort of treatment.

don't remember what they're called but they have a bunch of different colors and theyn put color streaks in hair. You can always wear a bun, which is pretty easy. Also try wearing pigtails it sounds a little babyish, but on some people it looks great! Try getting someone to french braid your hair people did that a lot last year at my school. Use a product with chamomile and sunflower in it, both known to bring out blonde hair. And be sure to keep it very clean all the time; we dark blondes tend to have really dirty looking hair if it it's unwashed even for a day.

I look:

-5ft.

-14 y/o

-filipino

-small eyes

-round/square face

-about 105 lbs.

-I always layer when I dress up

My hair is:

-wavy

-black

-past shoulder length (medium legnth)

-layered

-looks thick but is kind of thin (not very)

What I do to my hair:

-I always put hairspray

-straighten about 5 times a week.

-Take a bath either everyday or every other day

I'm thinking a reddish-brown color or an eggplant color.

I think it would look cute worn wavy or straight with your natural hair color, but a few highlights/streaks on top... Maybe reddish-brown highlights, but not all your hair like that... Think Ramiele Malubay on American Idol. Would look cute, I think.

I'm all for dying your hair. But black is the best! Well, you're young so go ahead and experiment. It will grow back. Since your hair is black you will be stripping your hair, which often isn't the healthiest choice. Again, it will grow out. And you can always dye it back to black if you don't like it. Blondes aren't so lucky. Try something semi-permanent and you can try both the reddish brown and the eggplant. Have fun, cutie!!!

I have a show coming up, and I'd like to make my hair very curly. The problem is, my hair is very stubborn, and extremely straight. It doesn't like to stay in any sort of curls for long, and I'll need them in for at least 5 hours. What should I do?
